Was that our remix of Bigbang’s BLUE that just played on hellokpop radio?!? Yeess it was! :)
So great to find out that DTMG is starting to see internet radio airplay!! Our friends at hellokpop played our ‘BLUE’ remix today on their radio station earlier and will playing it on Mon, Tues, Wend and Sunday’s during their 9pm shows.

The song, “Blue,” rose out of BIGBANG’s troubled times in 2011 which included a car accident for band member Daesung. Having been behind the wheel in a car crash that hospitalized my little brother, I am grateful for forgiveness and for songs like “Blue” that help us cope.
“Blue” 는 빅뱅의 멤버인 대성군이 차 사고에 말려든, 빅뱅의 어려운 시기였던 2011년에 나온 노래입니다. 제가 운전 하던 중 사고로 동생은 입원을 하게 되었는데, 저를 용서해 주셔서 감사했습니다. 그리고 우리에게 용기를 주는 이 “Blue”같은 노래들에 감사합니다.

That’s right, American group DTMG (Dave Tauler Music Group), has been bitten by the Kpop bug. DTMG is an ever-changing collective of musicians and artists who work interchangeably to address a variety of musical styles and genres. With a list of accolades a mile long, it’s easy to understand how impressive DTMG is to the average American Kpopper.
The group’s leader and mastermind, Dave Tauler, has spent a lifetime perfecting his musical career. DTMG’s multi-talented leader speaks three languages (English, Korean, Spanish) and plays 28 different musical instruments. He’s also been the winner of both the John Lennon Songwriting Award and Amateur Night at the world renowned Apollo Theater.
Tauler’s list of accomplishments doesn’t just end there. He not only won Amateur Night, but also went on to compete for the title of Super Top Dog, Amateur of the Year as well. Tauler’s songwriting has been featured in the off-Broadway production of Faces. He’s performed with Kim Bum Soo, the first Kpop artist to ever chart in the US, and was a judge at Korean American Teens singing competition in DC that saw the singing debut of Park Yoochun, known globally of course as Micky of the Kpop legend DBSK/TVXQ.
Why are U.S. Kpop fans so excited about DTMG? The above photo says it all. Tauler recently came across YG Entertainment‘s super group 2ne1‘s music video of their smash hit Lonely and was captivated. He was so moved by the song that he endeavored to pay the song and the artists the highest respect by creating an original neo-soul remix of Lonely in their honor. The remix was released for Valentine’s Day via DTMG’s official YouTube today.
